North East Horsebox Hire is a family run business based in Darlington, County Durham, in the North East of England offering self-drive hire of our 3.5t and 7.2t horseboxes.

To make a booking with us, either submit an online enquiry or contact Julie 07554106521 via telephone, WhatsApp or Messenger, we can then check availability and give you a price for the dates you wish to book. 

If the horsebox is available on the dates that you require, you will be able to confirm your booking by paying £50 deposit or 25% of the hire whichever is greatest *this is part of the hire charge and not an additional charge and returning your signed Contract.

Our 3.5t has basic day living consisting of a gas hob, seating, wardrobe and a single bed above cab.

The 7.2t has a built in generator for those one off nights you don’t want the expense of hook-up. Will comfortably sleep 3 adults, with a double bed above the cab and the sofa turning into a small double bed. You have a tv, heating and hot water which runs off the diesel engine. The bathroom consists of a toilet, shower unit and sink. The kitchen has a gas stove, which runs off a gas bottle that is supplied to you full, a combi microwave/oven and a fridge. There is cutlery, cups, glasses supplied and a toaster and kettle. All we ask is that you bring your own bedding etc.

Rates quoted have no hidden extras and include up to 250 miles a day. *There is an extra 35p per extra mile after 250 miles / day.

Reliability
Breaking down can be a nightmare and we do everything that we can to ensure that this won’t happen to you.  Our horseboxes are well maintained and serviced regularly so that you can relax and enjoy your day. However, in the unfortunate event of a breakdown, we do have full recovery for you and your horse with Equine Rescue Services.

Peace of Mind
We have fully comprehensive insurance for anyone between the ages of *25-75 to drive the horsebox and in the unlikely event that you do breakdown you are covered by our 24 hour breakdown and roadside assistance. If you are between the ages 23-25 we may still be able to provide a service, but this will be on an individual basis and via our insurance company who may require more details about your driving history.
